DAMPAK PRAKTIK SERANGAN FAJAR TERHADAP INTERGRITAS PEMILU INDONESIA

Abstract

The election is a democratic festival that grants legitimacy to the ruler to lead for five years. One recurring issue in elections is money politics, often referred to as "dawn attack." This practice involves giving incentives to voters in order to sway them to vote for a particular candidate. This study aims to explore the impact of the dawn attack practice on public trust in the Indonesian election process. The research was conducted using a qualitative method. As part of the investigation, four subjects selected by law students from Tarumanagara University were interviewed about their opinions on the dawn attack practice and the integrity of Indonesian elections. The results of this study show that students perceive money politics as an unethical act that undermines the election process by buying votes, violating the principles of law-based leadership. As a result, leaders are chosen based on power and rewards, rather than competence.
