Abstract

This research aims to investigate the role of UNICEF Indonesia and KemenPPPA in addressing the increase in domestic violence, to understand the factors that led to domestic violence against women and children during the COVID-19 pandemic in Central Java between 2020-2022 and the protection efforts and measures undertaken by UNICEF Indonesia and KemenPPPA. In addition, this study will also identify the constraints faced by UNICEF Indonesia and KemenPPPA in addressing domestic violence against women and children during the COVID-19 pandemic. The conceptual framework of this research includes the definition and characteristics of domestic violence, the role of UNICEF Indonesia in protecting children's rights, and the role of KemenPPPA in empowering women and protecting children. This research also uses the Organization's theoretical framework. This qualitative research methodology involves collecting data from datasets on the number of victims of violence handled by the Integrated Service Center for Women and Children Empowerment (P2TP2A). It is hoped that the results of this study will provide a better understanding of the issue of domestic violence against women and children during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as provide insight into the efforts that UNICEF Indonesia and KemenPPPA have made in addressing the issue. The findings of this study can also be used to identify obstacles faced and recommend measures that can be taken to address domestic violence in the future.
