REVITALISASI UNIT KESEHATAN SEKOLAH (UKS) DAN PELATIHAN PENANGANAN CEDERA PADA KADER UKS DI SMPN 11 KOTA MALANG

The School Health Unit is a very important program in creating healthy and intelligent students. However, the implementation has not been as expected, health education activities are more teaching in nature and place less emphasis on practical aspects that can be applied to everyday life. Apart from that, coordination in implementing the program has not been well established at every level of the UKS Advisory Team. This community service aims to make School Health Unit is more effective as a health service in schools through revitalization activities and improving the skills of School Health Unit cadres in handling injuries. This activity was carried out for 4 days, namely 21-22 May 2024 and 3-4 June 2024 at SMPN 11 Malang City. There were 25 participants consisting of 20 students and 5 teachers who were School Health Unit cadres. The methods used include problem assessment, needs survey, preparation of injury management modules, School Health Unit cadre training, implementation of School Health Unit revitalization and program evaluation. The result of this community service activity is an increase in the knowledge and skills of School Health Unit cadres in handling injuries so that it will prevent and reduce the incidence of injury incidents in the school environment. In this way, this community service activity can support student health and create a safe, comfortable and healthy learning environment. Apart from that, the implementation of School Health Unit revitalization can increase student access to health services.
