Abstract

This research discusses the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to improve efficiency and accuracy in Tuberculosis (TB) disease screening systems. Given that TB is one of the leading causes of death in Indonesia, especially among the productive age and low-income population, the development of a better screening system is crucial. This research focuses on using a more transparent and easy-to-interpret AI model to increase trust and adoption of this technology in clinical practice. The results show that a more explainable AI model provides significant benefits compared to the previous “black box” model, especially in terms of transparency and accountability of the resulting decisions. This research also emphasizes the importance of training and education for end-users to maximize the potential of AI technologies in healthcare applications.
