EFEKTIVITAS PEMILIHAN UMUM DI INDONESIA PADA TAHUN 2024

Abstract

Pemilu, short for Pemilihan Umum, is the democratic process by which the citizens of a country elect their representatives in government. It is an important mechanism in a democratic system that allows the people to participate in government formation and decision-making. In an election, citizens have the right to vote for candidates or political parties that they believe will represent their interests and aspirations in the legislature or executive. The candidate or political party that gains majority support in an election will gain a seat or position in the government. The electoral process includes various stages, such as candidate registration, campaigning, voting and vote counting. Elections are usually governed by an independent electoral body, which is responsible for ensuring the smoothness, fairness and integrity of the electoral process. Elections are a key pillar of a democratic system that allows people to express their political preferences and influence the direction of government policy. Through elections, people have the opportunity to express their opinions and elect leaders who they believe will best represent and serve the public interest. Elections must be assessed for their effectiveness to evaluate elections from period to period. In this research we will examine the effectiveness of the 2024 General Election held in Indonesia and how to improve the effectiveness of the General Election in Indonesia.
