Abstract

The crime of corruption has a close relationship and correlation with the existence of power or position. This power is used as a shield or tool to influence another person or group to do something for the benefit of themselves or others. It is not uncommon for a criminal act of corruption to occur when a person or group abuses the power or position they have obtained, so it can be concluded that the influence of ownership of power can give rise to a criminal act of corruption. The influencing factors are internal and external factors, the internal factors mentioned by Andi Hamzah are weak morals, insufficient income, urgent living needs, weak education. Meanwhile, external factors are encouragement from co-workers and also opportunities and lack of control and so on. This can be explained. Not only the personal self, but one's social environment and work environment are also very influential in shaping a person's behavior. There are not only good influences but there are also bad influences caused by peer factors in a person's work environment
