Abstract

Leadership in Islamic educational organizations has a crucial role in achieving educational goals that are oriented towards Islamic values. This article reviews the concept of leadership in the context of Islamic educational institutions and its relationship to effective management functions. Islamic education requires leadership that is able to combine spiritual and managerial aspects to create a holistic learning environment. Leadership in Islamic education does not only focus on administrative aspects, but also pays attention to moral values, ethics and spirituality. Effective leadership in Islamic educational organizations requires leaders who understand and apply Islamic principles in all their decisions and actions. This includes integrity, justice, responsibility and leadership based on a sense of devotion to Allah. Management functions in the context of Islamic education include planning based on Islamic teachings, organizing that takes into account Islamic values, leadership that reflects Islamic personality, direction that refers to religious guidelines, and control that ensures conformity with Islamic principles. Management in Islamic education is not only about achieving organizational goals, but also creating an environment that supports the development of individual morals and spirituality. This article proposes that integration between leadership based on Islamic values and management functions that adopt Islamic principles can form an education system that is more effective and in line with the goals of Islamic education. Therefore, Islamic education leaders need to have a deep understanding of Islamic principles and be able to apply them in the management of their educational organizations.
