PENERAPAN TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT (TQM) DALAM LEMBAGA PENDIDIKAN ISLAM

Abstract

Islamic education has an important role in forming the character of Muslim individuals with integrity and competence. In an effort to improve the quality of Islamic education, implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) is an approach that can make a significant contribution. TQM is a management framework that aims to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of an organization through the application of quality principles in all aspects of its operations. TQM places the main focus on continuous quality improvement. This type of research uses library research or literature study, where data and results are obtained from various literature and uses a qualitative approach because the data produced is in the form of words or descriptions. The results of this research are that the application of TQM not only creates quality graduates but also forms strong characters in accordance with Islamic teachings. Therefore, Islamic educational institutions must be willing to invest in implementing TQM as part of their commitment to quality and ethical education. Hopefully the implementation of TQM will bring great benefits to the development of Islamic education in the future.
