Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out about the development of legal philosophy and its influence in achieving the true nature of justice. The research method used is normative legal research, where this research focuses on reviewing the results of legislation and legal principles. This research uses a type of statutory approach and the results obtained will be analyzed with qualitative methods. The results show that the philosophy of law has undergone a major evolution throughout its history, influenced by thought from ancient to modern times. Justice in legal philosophy reflects moral values, equality, and fair distribution. Philosophy of law explores various theories to understand the principles of justice and build a legal system that respects those values. From classical times to legal positivism and modern developments, this thinking has always adapted to changing times. Justice in legal philosophy is responsive to social change, religion, and resistance to change. Legal philosophy is key to solving complex legal challenges, explaining legal values philosophically, and creating concepts of justice that correspond to social reality. The close relationship between philosophy, law, and justice becomes the foundation for cultural values in society, influencing the norms and principles of rights and obligations. Legal philosophy is the main foundation in the development of present and future legal systems.
