PENEGAKAN HUKUM TINDAK PIDANA KEKERASAN DALAM RUMAH TANGGA

Abstract

Domestic violence is behavior that involves the inappropriate use of force or control by one household member against another. This violence can take the form of physical, emotional, psychological, sexual or financial violence. Apart from the legal sanctions of imprisonment and fines which can be decided by the judge, there are also additional penalties which can be imposed by the judge, as well as the provision of temporary protection which is determined by the court before the trial begins. The obstacles in efforts to enforce the law on domestic violence can be addressed by increasing awareness, education, protection for victims, as well as firm and fair law enforcement.
