The active carbon manufacturing industry in Indonesia is experiencing quite rapid progress. This can be caused by increasing market demand, both domestically and for export abroad. The increasing need for activated carbon is due to the increasing number of applications of activated carbon for industry and to help human needs. This research was conducted to analyze the levels of Na metal found in dug well water. This research was conducted to analyze the sodium levels found in dug wells. So far, no one has conducted research on dug wells regarding the sodium levels contained in them, apart from knowing the maximum safe limit for sodium consumption per day. Based on official WHO regulations (2006), the MWI (Maximum weekly Intake) sodium consumption value is 2.4 grams per day or 16.8 grams per week. This restriction is carried out because excessive sodium can trigger high blood pressure or what is commonly called hypertension in humans. In this study, batch method filtration was used. The Na metal value decreased if the amount of activated carbon from Kepok banana peel and silica sand was greater. The more materials used, the filtered dug well water will experience a decrease in Na metal levels than before. The conclusion from this research is that the more activated carbon is used and the smaller the active carbon particles are, the Na metal content in the resulting water will decrease.
