STRATEGI DAN KEBIJAKAN KETAHANAN PANGAN DI KABUPATEN TANGERANG

Abstract

The government as a service provider is required to provide satisfactory services to the community. Especially for the agricultural sector on the grounds that the agricultural sector is a provider of food and processing raw materials. Cooperation from related parties is needed in orderto minimize food security problems, therefore the government must have a strategy inorder to maximize food security in Tangerang Regency. This study aims to determine strategies and policies for food security in Tangerang District. This study uses food security analysis from FAO (1996) and the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2015 and isstrengthened by the public strategy put forward by Geoff Mulgan (2009). The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of strategies and policies to realize food security has been going well, but the Tangerang district still has many areas that are food vulnerable. The government must ensure the availability, stability, accessand good quality of food. A strategy is needed to determine goals, environmental influences, directions, actions and lessons learned in order to achieve food security. As well as supportingand inhibiting factors are also important in implementing strategies and policies.
