This study aims to examine the relationship between emotion regulation and aggression levels in children aged 6–12 years at RPTRA. This study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study sample consisted of 23 elementary school-aged children in the middle childhood stage. Data collection was conducted using the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) to measure emotional regulation, while the Aggression Scale (AS) was used to measure aggression levels. The results indicate a strong negative relationship between emotional regulation and aggression in children. Specifically, the pre-test data yielded a Spearman correlation of -0.722, while the post-test yielded a Pearson correlation of -0.463. Descriptive statistical results indicate an improvement in emotional regulation skills following the intervention, marked by an increase in the mean score from 26.26 to 42.00. Additionally, aggression levels decreased significantly, with the mean score dropping from 20.43 to 8.83. This indicates that emotional regulation skills play a crucial role in reducing aggressive behavior in elementary school-aged children. Therefore, interventions and monitoring can serve as effective strategies to support children’s social and emotional development.
