IMPLEMENTASI PENGEMBANGAN DAN TUJUAN KURIKULUM

Abstract

The curriculum is one of the important instruments in the educational process, and is always undergoing a renewal process in line with developments in society. Therefore, renewal or development of the curriculum must be seen as a demand for change so that the existing curriculum still has relevance to the needs of the community. The main targets of the curriculum are students, society, and the subjects to be taught. Before the curriculum is implemented, periodic reviews are needed to find out whether the dynamics of the development of scientific fields as outlined in the form of subject matter and delivery methods are appropriate. Therefore, curriculum planners and developers need to carry out careful analysis and then develop lesson plans by determining models and managing learning strategies and implementing them into the Teaching and Learning Process (PBM). Curriculum development cannot be separated from various aspects that influence it, such as ways of thinking, value systems, namely moral, religious, political, cultural and social, development processes, student needs, community needs and the direction of educational programs. Curriculum development is the process of planning and compiling curriculum by curriculum developers and the activities carried out so that the resulting curriculum can become teaching materials and references used to achieve national education goals.
