STRATEGI ADAPTASI PETANI KELAPA SAWIT PADA SAAT PEREMAJAAN SAWIT DI KABUPATEN ROKAN HILIR PROVINSI RIAU

Abstract

The Palm Oil agricultural sector is a leading sector in Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau, most of the people have plantation land, especially oil palm, if you look at the potential of oil palm, it is still very promising because it can make a big contribution to the income and welfare of its people, but the obstacles that often occur in the people's economy in Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau are unstable production results and low welfare levels. The research method in this study uses a descriptive correlation research design with a cross-sectional approach. The location of this research was conducted in Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The results of this study are that the strategies carried out by oil palm farmers during the oil palm rejuvenation (replanting) period include production capacity, business diversification, and increasing operational efficiency.There are differences in the income of oil palm farmers in the BPDPKS scheme and the independent scheme. This means that the oil palm relanting technique also affects farmers' income.
