Abstract

This research is based on the importance of creating an inclusive education environment that supports children's optimal development, both in academic and social aspects. This study aims to understand the challenges and opportunities in educating children with special needs who exhibit different behaviors in school and home environments. A qualitative approach was used with observation, interviews and documentation with a child with Down syndrome, teachers and parents. The results showed that differences in children's behavior were influenced by emotional comfort at home and negative social experiences outside the home. Collaboration between teachers and parents and an inclusive environment are key in supporting learning and building children's confidence. This research confirms the importance of adaptive approaches and synergy to improve the academic and social development of children with special needs.
