Village economic development is one of the priorities in Indonesia's national development agenda. One of the instruments that can support local-based economic development is the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes), which functions to manage the potential of village resources. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of sharia financing business in increasing the economic potential of Salamwates Village by optimizing the role of BUMDes. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study in Salamwates Village. The results of the study indicate that sharia financing has the potential to increase access to capital for the people of Salamwates Village. However, the main obstacles found were the lack of understanding of sharia contracts among the community and the lack of socialization about the benefits of sharia financing. The role of BUMDes as an intermediary between sharia financial institutions and the community is very important to increase understanding and facilitate access to such financing. The implementation of sharia financing through BUMDes in Salamwates Village can increase the potential of the village economy by expanding access to capital for micro-enterprises. The success of this implementation requires support in the form of training, technical assistance, and increasing sharia financial literacy among the community.
