Establishing relationships with others is one of the basic human needs, especially in early adulthood. The development of technology in the digital era has created a social media platform that makes it easier for individuals to interact and establish relationships over long distances. This has given rise to the phenomenon of parasocial relationships. Parasocial relationships are one-way social relationships, where an individual who is a fan of a famous media figure can feel an emotional attachment to the media figure even though they do not know each other and there is no reciprocal interaction in the relationship. An individual's tendency to establish parasocial relationships can be influenced by the personality aspects possessed by the individual. The Big Five Personality Model describes the five dimensions of personality, namely Openness To Experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neuroticism. This study aims to understand the description of The Big Five Personality in early adult women who are experiencing parasocial relationships with their idolized media figures. This study uses a quantitative method with measuring instruments in the form of measuring instruments in the form of the Preliminary Multiple Parasocial Relationship Scale (MMPR) and The Big Five Inventory (BFI - 10). The participants of the study were women aged 18-25 years who had experienced a parasocial relationship for more than 9 months with a famous media figure. The results showed that the majority of participants experienced parasocial relationships in the moderate category and most also showed the personality dimension of Openness To Experience while a minority of participants showed the personality dimension of Neuroticism. This study is expected to increase public awareness of the impact and causes of parasocial relationships and support them in building healthy boundaries.
