Abstract

Income inequality can be interpreted as the difference in economic prosperity between the rich and thepoor, which can be seen from the difference in income that can trigger social jealousy in various regions. This study aims to examine the factors that influence income inequality in East Nusa Tenggara Province fot the 2016-2021 period. The research was conducted in 22 regencies/cities in East Nusa Tenggara Province, in the 2016-2021 period. This research method uses panel data regression and is estimated with Eviews 10. The result of the study found that the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) estimated model was selected as the best estimation result. Partially the Human Development Index, Population Density, Expenditure Per Capita and Goverment Expenditures have an influence on Income Inequality. Temporary, the Labor Force Participation Rate and Gross Regional Domestic Product have no effect on Income Inequality in East Nusa Tengara Province during the 2016-2021 period.
