Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of regional financial independence, government spending, labor, investment, population density on gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the former Surakarta Residency in 2017-2021. The method used in this study uses panel data regression which is a combination of cross-sectional data with 7 Regencies/Cities in Former Surakarta Residents and time series data for the 2017-2021 period. The results of this study prove that the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) is the best panel data regression model. Based on the research, it is known that the labor variable has a positive effect on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), which is equal to 1.19, meaning that if there is an increase in the workforce (TK) by 1 person, the GRDP will increase by 1,192,230,000 rupiah, while the regional financial independence variable, government spending, investment, and population density had no significant effect on the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the former Surakarta residency.
