Abstract

Student Regiment (Menwa) is a well-trained nation, a form of student participation in defending the country. Instilling the spirit of nationalism and state defense in students is very important, because students not only need to study on campus, but also act as agents of change, maintain unity and integrity, and maintain the Pancasila ideology. Nationalism is also one of the characteristics that are instilled in campus. Menwa has the potential to be organized and promoted to become proficient in the administration of national defense. This research is qualitative research with documentary or textual research methods using various data sources, analyzing and interpreting them to examine the management of Menwa as educated citizens, and in the defense higher education environment in increasing awareness of defending the country. The analysis process uses an inductive approach from various previous research results in several Menwa Units in Higher Education. Instilling the spirit of nationalism in the university environment can be done through education and character development. Menwa organizes education and training to foster members to have intelligence, fighting spirit, national character, and personality.
