Technological developments that continue to develop certainly have various impacts on social life in various fields, one of which is crime. This increases the possibility of crimes that do not only occur within the country but also cross national territorial boundaries. This must be addressed, as well as the need for stricter legal regulations. However, the diversity of laws in the world is an obstacle in dealing with criminal crimes in the international sphere. When the law enforcement apparatus of a country catches criminals it is almost impossible or difficult because of their territorial jurisdiction, then a collaboration between law enforcement officials of each country is one of the possible solutions to prevent and eradicate criminals who have fled. Extradition can be interpreted as the handover of the perpetrator of a crime who has fled outside the territory of another country from the place where the crime was committed, the crime can later be prosecuted by the country where the crime was committed. However, several universal conditions are needed based on an agreement between the countries that will carry out the extradition. In Indonesia it is regulated in Law No. 1 of 1979 concerning extradition.
