Abstract

This study analyzes students' learning motivation at SMA Global Prima National Plus School using purposive sampling technique. Among the 110 research subjects, comprising 45 males and 65 females, it was found that females exhibit higher learning motivation. Descriptive analysis indicates a higher empirical mean in the scores of female students' learning motivation, with 78.5% classified in the high learning motivation category, compared to 71.1% for male students. Classical assumption tests confirm normal distribution and variance homogeneity among groups of students' learning motivation. However, the results of the Independent Sample T-Test with a significance value of 0.645 suggest no significant difference in learning motivation between both genders. The study concludes that, while female students tend to have higher learning motivation, statistically, this difference is not significant. This research contributes to understanding students' learning motivation based on gender in the secondary education environment.
