Early adulthood is often accompanied by emotional instability and psychological distress known as a quarter life crisis. During this period, individuals may experience anxiety, confusion, and pressure related to life decisions. Self-compassion, which involves treating oneself with kindness, acceptance, and understanding in difficult situations, is considered a protective factor against psychological distress. This study aimed to examine the relationship between self-compassion and quarter life crisis among members of the Dukuh Tanjung Youth Organization (Karang Taruna). This study employed a quantitative correlational design. The sample consisted of 103 active members of the Dukuh Tanjung Youth Organization, selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using self-compassion and quarter life crisis scales and analyzed using Pearson’s correlation analysis. The results showed a strong and statistically significant negative correlation between self-compassion and quarter life crisis (r = –0.735, p < 0.001). Self-compassion explained 54% of the variance in quarter life crisis. Higher self-compassion is associated with lower levels of quarter life crisis. https://ejournal.penerbitjurnal.com/index.php/humaniora/article/view/1501

This study examines the implementation of the Sundrang (gift) in weddings in Pajenanger Village, a mandatory gift from the prospective groom to the prospective bride's parents. The nominal amount is determined by the bride's parents and can reach tens of millions, even hundreds of millions. Sundrang cannot be ignored, as it has become a tradition that must be carried out. This study examines the implementation of the Sundrang custom in weddings as part of a local tradition that remains preserved to this day as a symbol of respect and appreciation. From an Islamic legal perspective, the implementation of Sundrang is acceptable as long as it does not conflict with Islamic law, does not involve coercion, and does not alter the pillars and requirements for a valid marriage. This research is descriptive, conducted in the field using descriptive qualitative methods. The approach used is empirical, with data sources including primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that the Sundrang tradition in Pajenangger Village, Arjasa District, Sumenep Regency, involves the woman determining and negotiating the amount the groom must prepare for the bride. Given the high monetary burden placed on this tradition, it falls under the category of 'urf fasid', meaning its harmful effects outweigh its benefits.
Dila Alin Asy SyahidahAhmad Faozan

This study The tradition of the bridal shower is one of a series of Sundanese traditional wedding ceremonies that is still preserved by the community to this day. This tradition is carried out by throwing various objects such as rice, coins, turmeric, flowers, and candy to the bride and groom while accompanied by kidung or sawer poetry containing advice on married life. This study aims to determine the process of implementing the bridal shower tradition in Sundanese traditional weddings and analyze the Islamic legal perspective on this tradition in Sukamulnya Village, Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency. This study uses a qualitative research method with an empirical approach and field research. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the bridal shower tradition has deep philosophical, social, and religious meanings for the Sundanese people. This tradition contains values of advice, togetherness, gratitude, and hope for a harmonious household life. From the perspective of Islamic law, the bridal shower tradition is included in the category of 'urf sahih because it does not conflict with Islamic law and contains good values that are acceptable in Islamic law. However, this tradition must adhere to the principles of simplicity and avoid waste, especially when using food items such as rice.
Siti Salma MuparihahAhmad Faozan

https://ejournal.penerbitjurnal.com/index.php/humaniora/article/view/1511

The issue of legal protection for honorary teachers remains a significant challenge in Indonesia's education system. Despite their crucial role in supporting educational services, honorary teachers often face various legal and employment uncertainties, including low wages, unclear employment status, limited social security coverage, and restricted access to career development opportunities. This study aims to analyze the problems and current status of legal protection for honorary teachers within the framework of Indonesian legislation. Using a normative juridical approach, the research examines relevant laws and regulations, including the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Law on the National Education System, the Law on Teachers and Lecturers, the State Civil Apparatus Law, and related government regulations. The findings indicate that although the government has introduced several policies to improve the welfare and employment status of honorary teachers, legal protection remains fragmented and has not fully guaranteed their rights as education professionals. The transition toward the recruitment of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) represents a positive step; however, implementation challenges continue to leave many honorary teachers in a vulnerable position. Therefore, a more comprehensive and consistent legal framework is necessary to ensure legal certainty, fair remuneration, social protection, and equal professional opportunities for honorary teachers in Indonesia.
Mochamad NovelNur Anita HayatinaMuhammad Vito PahleviGilmorava Kent Daniel TatembaMuhammad Akbar PutraMohd.
This study aims to analyze the construction of constitutional litigation mechanisms in resolving state institutional disputes in Indonesia and examine the effectiveness of constitutional adjudication institutions in realizing legal certainty and constitutional stability. This research employs a normative legal method using statutory and conceptual approaches through analysis of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, related legislation, and constitutional law doctrines. The findings indicate that constitutional litigation mechanisms in Indonesia represent the implementation of the rule of law principle as stipulated in Article 1 paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution, which positions law as the primary instrument in limiting and controlling the exercise of state power. The existence of Constitutional Court of Indonesia as a constitutional judiciary institution holds a strategic role as the guardian of constitutional supremacy, the authoritative interpreter of constitutional norms, and the protector of the checks and balances system among state institutions. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia in resolving disputes over constitutional authority among state institutions significantly contributes to legal certainty, institutional harmony, and constitutional stability.
Muhamad Syiratal Al Haq NurwahidKeysha Rasyeendria Syahdah IrawanAdrian ManleryRaidah HazirahMochamad Novel

The crime of document falsification is a type of crime that can disrupt legal certainty, potentially harm the public, and reduce trust in various administrative systems and public services. Advances in information technology have also expanded the methods of falsification, not only limited to physical documents but also electronic documents. This study aims to analyze the legal regulations related to the crime of document falsification based on Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP) and evaluate the effectiveness of these regulations in preventing document falsification in Indonesia. The method used in this study is normative legal research with a legislative approach and a conceptual approach. The legal materials analyzed include primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials that were evaluated qualitatively through a literature review. The research findings indicate that the new Criminal Code has regulated the crime of document falsification more comprehensively through Articles 391 to 400, including expanding the definition of letters to include electronic documents. This regulation is also supported by the Electronic Information and Transactions Law, which regulates document falsification in electronic format. Normatively, existing legal arrangements have created a strong legal basis for preventing and prosecuting document forgery. However, in practice, their effectiveness still faces various challenges, such as weak administrative oversight, low legal awareness among the public, limited ability of authorities to verify digital evidence, and technological advances that facilitate document forgery. Therefore, it is urgently needed to improve the document verification system, strengthen digital forensic capacity, and optimize law enforcement to increase the effectiveness of preventing document forgery crimes in Indonesia.
JovanFelicia Nadine JohanCindy DewantikaLevina Cicilia Riyanto

The principle of checks and balances constitutes the fundamental pillar of a democratic constitutional system; yet its implementation in Indonesia continues to encounter structural and institutional challenges. This article examines the strengthening of the checks and balances mechanism through state litigation instruments, particularly via the Constitutional Judiciary, the highest appellate Court, and the State Administrative Court. A normative juridical method is employed, combining statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings reveal that state litigation plays a strategic role in correcting deviations of power among state institutions and concretely reinforces checks and balances through judicial review and state administrative lawsuit mechanisms. This article concludes that strengthening the checks and balances mechanism through state litigation not only reinforces constitutional supremacy but also contributes to building an accountable and just constitutional order.
Mochamad NovelNur Anita HayatinaEster Lestari ManaluGrace ChristmasNelsonGaffara

https://ejournal.penerbitjurnal.com/index.php/humaniora/article/view/1522

This study seeks to examine the recommendations of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia and their consequences for legal clarity in addressing maladministration, with a focus on their limitations in terms of coercive authority. The Ombudsman is an important external watchdog for public service delivery; they can accept complaints from the public, investigate them, and then make recommendations on suspected cases of maladministration. Analysed qualitatively by literature review, this study employs a normative juridical method with a statutory and conceptual approach. Even if the Ombudsman's recommendations are normatively required, the outcomes show that the reported agency lacks the necessary executive authority and a good system to punish noncompliance. This could lead to a lack of clarity in the law and make it harder to keep public service providers accountable for misconduct in administration. In order to enhance the process of putting the Ombudsman's recommendations into action, we need to refine regulations, make administrative compliance higher, and establish a stronger system of follow-up. This will help us achieve accountable and transparent governance that is focused on protecting community rights.
Romeo Nathan ChandraLois Rebecca SagalaAmanda Sofiyatun NajwahClara Ryumi EffendiMochamad Novel

The appointment of active Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) personnel to civilian offices has reemerged as a critical issue in Indonesia's constitutional and administrative law. The debate arises from the state's need to utilize defense resources in addressing strategic national challenges while, at the same time, the principles of civilian supremacy and the rule of law require limitations on military involvement in civilian governmental affairs. This study examines the legal construction governing the appointment of active military personnel to civilian offices and assesses its constitutionality under the principles of civilian supremacy and democratic rule of law. This research employs a normative legal method using statutory, conceptual, and constitutional approaches. The findings indicate that Article 30 of the 1945 Constitution and Article 47 of Law Number 34 of 2004 concerning the Indonesian National Armed Forces establish clear limitations regarding the primary function of the military as a state defense institution. The appointment of active military personnel to civilian offices should be regarded as an exception, constitutionally justified only when directly related to defense and national security functions, supported by a clear legal basis, implemented proportionally, and subjected to effective civilian oversight. Legal reconstruction is therefore necessary through the strengthening of normative limitations, harmonization with the merit-based civil service system, and enhancement of democratic oversight mechanisms to maintain a balance between state interests and the principle of civilian supremacy within a democratic rule-of-law framework.
Mochamad NovelNur Anita HayatinaNila AkmalaNur Diva Permata PasaribuMichelle KengVioleta Ratna Hapsari

https://ejournal.penerbitjurnal.com/index.php/humaniora/article/view/1527

The increasing prevalence of non-permanent employment in Indonesia has raised concerns regarding workers' psychological well-being due to the uncertainty associated with job continuity. Job insecurity is recognized as a significant psychosocial stressor that may negatively affect employees' mental health, life satisfaction, and overall well-being. This study aims to examine the relationship between job insecurity and psychological well-being among non-permanent workers in Indonesia, while also investigating the moderating role of resilience. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from non-permanent employees across various industries in Indonesia through a structured survey. Job insecurity was measured as employees' perceptions of uncertainty regarding the stability and continuity of their employment, whereas psychological well-being was assessed through indicators of positive functioning and mental health. Resilience was conceptualized as an individual's capacity to adapt and recover from adversity. The findings are expected to demonstrate that higher levels of job insecurity are associated with lower levels of psychological well-being. Furthermore, resilience is anticipated to moderate this relationship by reducing the negative impact of job insecurity on workers' well-being. Individuals with higher resilience are expected to maintain better psychological well-being despite experiencing employment uncertainty. This study contributes to the literature on occupational health and organizational behavior by highlighting the importance of personal psychological resources in mitigating the adverse effects of precarious employment conditions. The findings may also provide practical implications for organizations and policymakers in developing interventions and support systems that strengthen employee resilience and promote psychological well-being among non-permanent workers.
Poetri Shabrina ZasqiaAida LutfiNajwa AuliaDava SalsabilaJessica Chandhika

https://ejournal.penerbitjurnal.com/index.php/humaniora/article/view/1528

This study aims to examine the effect of job insecurity on counterproductive work behavior (CWB) and investigate the mediating role of perceived organizational support (POS) among permanent Generation Z employees. This research is motivated by increasing uncertainty in the workplace and the unique characteristics of Generation Z, which has become a dominant workforce group and is particularly vulnerable to perceived threats regarding job continuity. A quantitative approach with a correlational survey design was employed. The sample consisted of 120 respondents selected through purposive sampling based on the following criteria: aged 18–27 years and employed on a permanent basis. Data were collected using standardized instruments, namely the Job Insecurity Scale, the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support, and the Counterproductive Work Behavior Checklist. The data were analyzed using correlation analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis. The results indicate that: (1) job insecurity has a significant positive effect on CWB; (2) job insecurity has a significant negative effect on POS; (3) POS has a significant negative effect on CWB; and (4) POS partially mediates the relationship between job insecurity and CWB. These findings suggest that job insecurity tends to increase counterproductive work behaviors; however, its negative effects can be mitigated when employees perceive a high level of organizational support. This study provides practical implications for organizations to strengthen support policies and promote transparent communication in order to maintain the well-being and productivity of Generation Z employees.
Hana SetiawanGecchaetavvara QheagavvetthaMuh Tri Nur HasanZahra Putri Oktavian RamadhiniJessica Chandhika

https://ejournal.penerbitjurnal.com/index.php/humaniora/article/view/1531

The phenomenon of quiet quitting has become increasingly prevalent among Generation Z employees, reflecting a tendency to perform only the minimum requirements of their jobs without providing additional effort or engagement. One factor that may influence this behavior is psychological safety, which refers to an individual's perception of feeling safe to express opinions, share ideas, ask questions, and take interpersonal risks in the workplace without fear of negative consequences. This study aimed to examine the role of psychological safety in quiet quitting among Generation Z employees. A quantitative approach with a correlational survey design was employed. Data were collected from Generation Z employees using the Psychological Safety Scale and the Quiet Quitting Scale (QQS). The data were analyzed using simple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics. The results indicated that psychological safety significantly predicted quiet quitting (t = -16.278, p < .001). The regression analysis showed a negative coefficient (B = -0.804), indicating that higher levels of psychological safety were associated with lower levels of quiet quitting. Furthermore, psychological safety explained 62.4% of the variance in quiet quitting (R² = 0.624). These findings suggest that creating a psychologically safe work environment may help reduce quiet quitting tendencies among Generation Z employees. Therefore, organizations are encouraged to foster open communication, trust, and supportive interpersonal relationships to enhance employee engagement and participation.
Naila Fathiya Zahra HiaAnanda Panca Aqillah SyahbudiRavena CarmelitaJessica Chandhika

https://ejournal.penerbitjurnal.com/index.php/humaniora/article/view/1545

Contract employees are a group of workers who are vulnerable to job uncertainty, limited career development, and low job security. These conditions can affect an individual's perception of their value and worth within the organization, or Organization-Based Self-Esteem (OBSE). This study aims to analyze the relationship between OBSE and the performance of contract employees. The study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory design and a cross-sectional method. The study sample consisted of 138 contract employees obtained through convenience sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using the Organization-Based Self-Esteem Scale developed by Pierce et al. (1989) and the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) developed by Koopmans et al. (2014). Data analysis was performed using the Pearson Correlation test and simple linear regression. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between OBSE and the performance of contract employees (r = 0.066; p = 0.445). The regression analysis also showed that OBSE only explained 0.4% of the variation in employee performance (R² = 0.004), while the remaining 99.6% was influenced by factors outside the study. This finding indicates that employees' level of self-esteem within the organization is not a primary determinant of contract employee performance. Contract employee performance is thought to be more influenced by other factors, such as work motivation, compensation, job satisfaction, work environment, leadership, and job insecurity. Therefore, OBSE was not a significant predictor of contract employee performance in this study.
Marko Adiputra WulurClaurissa ValentinaShafira DamayantiJessica Chandika

https://ejournal.penerbitjurnal.com/index.php/humaniora/article/view/1558

Disputes over state assets in Indonesia are still common due to unlawful acquisition, third-party claims, and weak asset administration. Therefore, state litigation is used as a means of enforcing legal certainty. However, its effectiveness remains limited due to lengthy processes, high costs, and obstacles to executing decisions. Therefore, a study is needed to assess the effectiveness of litigation in optimally protecting and recovering state assets. This research is a normative legal study using a statute approach, a conceptual approach, and a case approach. The results indicate that state litigation plays a significant role in encouraging legal policy change while ensuring legal certainty through final and binding court decisions, although its effectiveness is still affected by the constraints of lengthy processes and high costs. Through the Constitutional Court, litigation also serves as a mechanism for testing the constitutionality of laws to ensure that all legal norms comply with the 1945 Constitution, thereby maintaining the principle of the rule of law in Indonesia.
Mochamad NovelAnita Dewi AngraeniKhairunnisaFarrel Hutabarat

This research is initiated by the low narrative text writing skills of elementary school students, specifically in constructing a coherent text structure and applying standardized spelling rules. This limitation is further intensified by the strong influence of daily spoken language and the lack of spelling automation in students' formal writing. The purpose of this study is to describe in depth the characteristics of narrative text structural competence and to map the level of compliance along with the types of spelling errors based on PUEBI/EYD in the written works of fifth-grade elementary school students. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative through a portfolio document analysis approach of students' personal experience essays. To provide a theoretical solution to the identified literacy barriers, the results of this diagnostic analysis are synthesized as a foundational basis for planning Classroom Action Research (CAR) utilizing an explicit genre-based learning model. The findings indicate a sharp polarization of ability based on the students' academic strata. While the introductory structure (orientation) and concluding structure (resolution) have been well-mastered by the majority of students (above 66%), significant obstacles occur in organizing the plot of the body (complication), which tends to be flat, monotonous, or even experience jumping plots. Meanwhile, in the linguistic aspect, students' mastery of spelling is still relatively low. The researcher identified three dominating mechanical errors: misuses of capital letters (42%), misplacements and absences of periods and commas (34%), and interferences of regional language (Javanese) vocabulary and affixation (24%). The discussion concludes that children's mechanical language competence develops at a slower pace than their ability to express narrative ideas, thereby requiring innovative, structured, and corrective instructional interventions.
Ikhsan WicaksonoSuparniYamaaluddiinFeri KurniawanEndah HartiniPuji WinaryuAinnuna Via Argi Putri

Social-emotional development in early childhood is crucial for character development, social skills, self-regulation, and academic readiness at subsequent levels of education. Early childhood education (PAUD) aims not only to develop cognitive and motor skills but also emotional and social skills as the foundation for a child's character and personality. In this context, the concept of "emotional safety" in the educational environment is crucial. An emotionally safe learning environment allows children to feel comfortable expressing themselves, sharing their feelings, trying new things, and feeling accepted for who they are without fear of judgment. In such situations, the application of a pedagogical approach that emphasizes emotional safety, referred to here as Emotional Safety Pedagogy, becomes highly relevant. By implementing this pedagogy, learning environments in kindergartens/Islamic elementary schools (TK/RA) such as RA Raudhatul Jannah can be designed in such a way that children feel psychologically safe: valued, listened to, and emotionally supported.
Siti YuliaNurhafit KurniawanNury Kurnia

This community service (PkM) activity aims to maximize the quality of the Entrepreneur Week exhibition at Universitas Tarumanagara through design management consultation provided to the event organizing team. The approach employs direct consultation in which design management principles are applied as a process framework across all activity stages: exhibition design planning, booth and visual element design development, and on-site implementation supervision. Design management is thus positioned not as taught content but as an embedded working process throughout the entire mentoring cycle from design needs identification and concept development to execution coordination and final quality control. The evaluation framework utilizes the Design Management Staircase model from the Danish Design Centre to assess shifts in the organizer's approach to the role of design in event management. Results indicate that all Design Management Staircase dimensions showed positive shifts, with the most significant improvement recorded in the exhibition layout planning dimension (+2 levels, from non-design to Process). Design quality evaluation through a questionnaire administered to 80 respondents yielded a mean score of 4.02 out of 5.0 (Good category). This activity produced a practical exhibition design management guidebook as a reference for future events.
Maitri Widya MutiaraKristine HartantoMaryani TanakaKevin Wu

This study analyzes the judicial considerations in a breach of contract dispute arising from a money loan agreement as reflected in Supreme Court Decision Number 2769 K/Pdt/2019. The research focuses on the discrepancy between the 4% monthly profit or interest agreed upon by the parties and the amount subsequently assessed and determined by the Supreme Court, as well as the differences in determining the debtor’s financial obligations at the District Court, High Court, and Supreme Court levels. This study uses a normative juridical method with statutory and case approaches. The primary legal material is Supreme Court Decision Number 2769 K/Pdt/2019 together with the lower court decisions and relevant provisions of the Indonesian Civil Code. The results show that the three levels of adjudication essentially reached the same conclusion regarding the occurrence of breach of contract because the Defendant failed to fulfill the payment obligation after the agreement expired. The main difference concerned the financial consequences of the breach. The Supreme Court did not maintain the agreed 4% monthly profit and instead considered an 18% annual deposit interest rate, resulting in a profit amount of IDR 251,000,000 and a remaining principal debt of IDR 1,214,000,000. Furthermore, 6% annual interest was imposed on the remaining principal from the filing of the lawsuit until the decision became legally binding and was executed. These findings indicate that freedom of contract does not automatically require every financial claim to be granted, since the court may assess its legal basis, evidence, and reasonableness.
Imelda MartinelliAliya Nur AinieTiasta Krisna

This study analyzes the urgency of applying the contradictoir delimitatie principle in resolving land boundary disputes based on Supreme Court Decision Number 223 PK/Pdt/2025. The dispute arose from a claim over the possession of ±17,370 m² of plantation land between the holder of Freehold Title (SHM) No. 515 as the Plaintiff and SHM No. 518 as the Defendant in Muaro Jambi Regency. The Plaintiff filed an Unlawful Act (Tort) lawsuit, primarily relying on a Re-measurement Official Report issued by the local land office. The findings indicate that the courts consistently—from the first instance to the Judicial Review—rejected the Plaintiff's lawsuit and granted the Defendant's counterclaim. This rejection was grounded in the flawed re-measurement process, which was proven to disregard the contradictoir delimitatie principle, as it was conducted without the presence and consent of the directly adjacent landowners. Consequently, the measurement instrument was declared legally non-binding. In conclusion, compliance with the contradictoir delimitatie principle is strictly mandatory in land registration and re-measurement activities to prevent overlapping claims and ensure legal certainty for land rights holders.
Imelda MartinelliSultan LiansyahMuhammad Manuarfah Samual

This study aims to analyze the legality of issuing the Cultivation Rights Title (HGU) of PT Berkat Sawit Utama (BSU) over the customary land (tanah ulayat) of the Suku Anak Dalam indigenous community and to examine the legal reasoning (ratio decidendi) of the Supreme Court Justices in achieving substantive justice under Supreme Court Decision Number 5287 K/Pdt/2025. This study employs a normative legal research method with a case approach and a statutory approach. The qualitative analysis evaluates primary legal materials, including the 1945 Constitution, the Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA No. 5/1960), Government Regulation No. 40/1996, and the court decision. The findings reveal that issuing an HGU on unreleased customary land constitutes an Unlawful Act (Perbuatan Melawan Hukum), violating Article 28 of UUPA and Article 4 paragraph (2) of PP No. 40/1996, which mandate that state land for HGU must be free from third-party claims. Furthermore, the Supreme Court established a legal breakthrough by prioritizing substantive justice, asserting that the factual existence of customary rights (living law) cannot be negated by formal administrative requirements. This ruling serves as a vital precedent for protecting communal customary land and restoring indigenous rights in Indonesia.
Imelda MartinelliGilang Septiawan SaputraGurun Anugrah Zulfifah Albaihaki

This study examines the position of customary land in the inheritance system based on Supreme Court Decision Number 1710 K/Pdt/2026. The issues discussed in this study focus on the position of Village Yard Land (Tanah Pekarangan Desa or PKD) and Village Service Land (Tanah Ayahan Desa or AYDS), as well as the rights that may be inherited by members of the customary community. This study uses a normative juridical method with statutory and case approaches through Supreme Court Decision Number 1710 K/Pdt/2026. The findings show that the disputed PKD land constitutes customary land belonging to Desa Pakraman Pejeng Kawan and therefore cannot be treated as individually owned property subject to inheritance distribution. Nevertheless, the right to occupy and utilize the land may be inherited by parties entitled under customary provisions. This decision demonstrates the distinction between ownership rights over customary land and the right to occupy and utilize it. Thus, Supreme Court Decision Number 1710 K/Pdt/2026 provides an illustration of the application of Balinese customary law in resolving inheritance disputes involving customary land.
Imelda MartinelliLove Virny Tanielle Nyemora TanuwijayaCindy Jhodya Giovanni

https://ejournal.penerbitjurnal.com/index.php/humaniora/article/view/1629

Social media has become the primary space of interaction for Generation Z, while also giving rise to the phenomenon of cancel culture, a practice of public boycott and ostracism directed at individuals or groups perceived to have violated social norms. This phenomenon is debated because, on one hand, it functions as a form of social control and moral accountability, while on the other hand, it often occurs without adequate verification, is driven by collective emotion, and negatively affects the mental health of its targets. This article aims to examine the phenomenon of cancel culture among Generation Z through the lens of social media ethics grounded in religious values. This study uses a qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews with Generation Z participants who are active social media users, with the data analyzed thematically and discussed in dialogue with the literature on cancel culture, digital ethics, and religious values. The findings show that cancel culture among Generation Z is largely driven by digital mechanisms such as unfollowing, content boycotting, and mass criticism that reflect collective moral awareness, yet is prone to shifting into unilateral judgment that contradicts the principles of tabayun (verification), husnuzan (positive assumption), and forgiveness taught across religious traditions. Religious values such as honesty, responsibility, justice, and restorative approaches have the potential to serve as an ethical framework that balances the spirit of social accountability with respect for human dignity in digital spaces. This study recommends strengthening religiously grounded digital literacy as a preventive measure against the negative impacts of cancel culture among Generation Z.
Naufal Muamal ArtamaRaja Oloan TumanggorHana SetiawanMuhammad Ryan HerjunoTasya BangunJosette Eclesiana Elize

This study aims to examine the legal reasoning of the panel of judges in Supreme Court Decision Number 3825 K/Pdt/2024 regarding a dispute over the possession and utilization of a building situated on another party's land without the lawful owner's consent. The civil law analytical framework for this research was constructed in stages. First, it reviews the nature of the civil lease relationship based on Article 1548 of the Indonesian Civil Code. Second, it examines whether there was a violation of the norms regarding the transfer or subleasing of the leased object without the landowner's permission, as stipulated in Article 1559 of the Civil Code. Third, it assesses the classification of the defendants' actions as an Unlawful Act under Article 1365 of the Civil Code, resulting from the infringement of the land rights holder's subjective rights. This normative study employs a combination of statutory and case-based approaches. The findings indicate that Defendant I's act of subleasing the disputed object to Defendants II and III without the permission of PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (PTPN IV) constituted a clear violation of Article 1559 of the Civil Code. Given the absence of a contractual obligation between the Plaintiff and the Defendants, the appropriate legal basis for the claim is an Unlawful Act (Article 1365 of the Civil Code) rather than a breach of contract. The Supreme Court's decision to reject the Defendants' appeal reinforces the guarantee of legal certainty and the protection of land ownership rights.
Imelda MartinelliFera AnggrainiAryton Sena Alfajari

This study analyzes the normative conflict between customary communal land law (ulayat) and national civil law as presented in Merauke District Court Decision Number 53/Pdt.G/2023/PN Mrk. The dispute arose from the issuance of a Right of Use Certificate by a state agency for Tot Pale customary land, without a formal relinquishment of rights in accordance with Marind community traditions. Employing a normative legal research method with a case-study approach, the findings indicate that customary law tends to be accorded a weaker position compared to written civil administrative evidence. The judge's reasoning prioritized the principle of formal legal certainty UUPA over the recognition of traditional possession of customary communal land. Consequently, there is a need to harmonize land regulations to ensure the protection of the civil rights of indigenous communities within the national judicial system.
Kenzie Samudra TandraYustince Burnama

The circulation of counterfeit stamp duties constitutes a criminal phenomenon that not only undermines the integrity of official documents but also directly affects the loss of potential state revenue from stamp duty taxes. This study aims to identify the distribution of counterfeit stamp duties as a criminal offense causing losses to state finances and to analyze law enforcement against perpetrators involved in the distribution of counterfeit stamp duties as a crime detrimental to state finances. This research employs a normative legal research method using statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. The findings indicate that the criminal liability of the offender is based on the element of fault (schuld) in the form of intentional conduct in distributing stamp duties known to be counterfeit. However, the sanction imposed in this case is considered less than optimal in providing protection for the state’s fiscal interests, as it does not fully take into account the scale of financial losses suffered by the state as a result of the circulation of counterfeit stamp duties.
Feby ApreliaMuhtadiMaya ShafiraErna DewiAhmad Syofyan

Criminal liability constitutes a fundamental element in criminal law in determining whether an individual may be punished for an act committed. One of the issues arising in criminal justice practice concerns criminal liability for perpetrators of murder who suffer from mental disorders. The existence of mental disorders raises legal issues because it relates to criminal responsibility as a prerequisite for culpability. This study aims to analyze the criminal liability of perpetrators of murder with mental disorders based on Decision Number 53/PID/2026/PT TJK and to examine whether imprisonment accompanied by medical treatment is consistent with the objectives of punishment. This research employed normative and empirical legal research methods using statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. Data were collected through literature studies and interviews with judges, academics, and psychiatrists. The results indicate that the perpetrator may still be held criminally liable because psychiatric examinations demonstrated that the mental disorder did not completely eliminate the perpetrator’s ability to understand the nature of the act and control his behavior. The imposition of imprisonment accompanied by treatment is considered consistent with the objectives of punishment, as it not only fulfills retributive purposes but also accommodates social protection, rehabilitation, and the recovery of the offender’s mental condition.
Puan Maharani HasanHeni SiswantoFristia Berdian TamzaHS TisnantaMaya Shafira

The involvement of children as accomplices in criminal offenses has become a significant concern in criminological studies, as it is closely related to the process of criminal behavior formation during childhood development. Psychological immaturity, peer influence, and weak social supervision make children vulnerable to engaging in unlawful behavior. This study aims to analyze the construction of children's criminal behavior as accomplices through the perspective of Differential Association Theory and to identify preventive measures against children's involvement in criminal activities. The research employs both normative juridical and empirical approaches. Data were collected through literature studies and interviews with judges and criminal law academics, and were subsequently analyzed using qualitative methods. The findings indicate that the involvement of children as accomplices in criminal acts can be explained through Edwin H. Sutherland’s Differential Association Theory. This theory asserts that criminal behavior is not innate but is learned through social interactions within environments that support or tolerate violations of the law. Peer groups, family conditions, children's psychological characteristics, and weak social control are among the factors contributing to the development of criminal behavior. Preventing children's involvement in crime requires the implementation of criminal policy that integrates both penal and non-penal approaches. The penal approach is carried out through law enforcement while upholding the principles of child protection, guidance, and rehabilitation. Meanwhile, the non-penal approach focuses on strengthening the role of families, schools, communities, and government institutions in creating a supportive environment for children's development. The integration of these approaches constitutes an effective strategy for preventing children's involvement in criminal acts and reducing the factors that contribute to the emergence of criminal behavior.
Harlinda Eka SucianaMaroniMaya ShafiraErna DewiHeni Siswanto

This journal article examines the case addressed in Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Decision Number 514 PK/Pdt/2015, which concerned a petition for the legal recognition of a Chinese customary marriage between Jimmy Jonathan and Yanih, as well as the legal recognition of the children born of that union. The study aims to outline the case chronology, the status of Central Jakarta District Court Determination Number 263/Pdt.P/2013/PN Jkt.Pst., the grounds for the lawsuit that resulted in Decision Number 445/Pdt.G/2014/PN Jkt.Pst., and the Supreme Court's considerations during the judicial review proceedings. A normative juridical research method was employed, utilizing Supreme Court Decision Number 514 PK/Pdt/2015 as the primary source material. The findings indicate that the Supreme Court held that the application of law in Determination Number 263/Pdt.P/2013/PN Jkt.Pst. was not based on prevailing statutory regulations; consequently, the decision by the Judex Facti (trial court) to annul it was deemed legally sound. The Supreme Court further determined that the novum (new evidence) submitted was not decisive and that the Petitioner's objections essentially amounted to a disagreement regarding the assessment of trial facts. Ultimately, the petition for judicial review was rejected, and the Petitioner was ordered to pay court costs amounting to IDR 2,500,000.00.
Imelda MartinelliJuvita KiranaLidya Aprilia

Sustainable energy transition in Indonesia is not merely a technological shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy, but also involves the roles of citizens, democratic values, and human rights. This study aims to examine the roles of citizens, democratic values, and human rights in supporting sustainable energy transition in Indonesia. A systematic literature review was conducted on eight primary articles, supplemented by supporting sources. The findings were organized into four themes: the role of citizens, democratic values in energy policymaking, human rights and the right to a healthy environment, and just and sustainable energy transition. The results show that citizens can act as aspiration providers, builders, and managers of energy, but the sustainability of these roles depends on institutional support, technical assistance, and legal recognition. Democratic values require meaningful participation, transparency, and access to information. Fulfilling the right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment requires binding regulations and consistent law enforcement. Overall, the existing legal framework remains inadequate to ensure a just transition. Clear regulations, recognition of community energy, and protection for vulnerable groups are needed.
Nadyah SaniFayyaza Nisa Ramadhani AhmadNajwa AuliaLily IndartiVianandita Musafira Ila M.RAgoes DariyoPamela Hendra Heng

This study aimed to develop and validate a deep learning teaching module integrated with Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) that is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students' motivation and critical thinking skills regarding biodiversity. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Dissemination) and a mixed-methods approach with a sequential exploratory design. The trial subjects consisted of 36 students from Class X E4 at SMAN 1 Taman Sidoarjo, selected via purposive sampling, with instruction implemented over three cycles. Research instruments included validation sheets, practicality sheets, student response questionnaires, critical thinking tests, and learning motivation observation rubrics. Data analysis utilized Aiken's V, descriptive percentages, the Mann-Whitney U test, and the Wilcoxon test. The results demonstrated that the teaching module possessed very high validity (Aiken's V = 0.908; feasibility = 91.15%) and very high practicality (implementability = 95%; student response = 92.40%; practicality Aiken's V = 0.958). The module also proved effective in improving critical thinking skills; the average score rose from 59.24 to 84.24, and the classical mastery rate increased from 2.78% to 94.44% (Z-calculated = 5.09 > Z-table = 1.96; P < 0.001). Regarding learning motivation, the module had a positive impact, although the majority of students (80.56%) remained in the "Moderate/Sufficient" category (mean score of 2.98 out of 5).
The concurrent advancement of digital technology and the global environmental crisis necessitates a dual awareness among citizens: the wise use of digital spaces alongside a commitment to environmental sustainability—including support for the energy transition from fossil fuels to new and renewable energy (NRE). This article examines how digital literacy and environmental awareness can synergize to foster citizens' understanding of their rights and obligations during the energy transition. A literature review was conducted on Indonesian national journal articles published between 2021 and 2026. The findings indicate that digital literacy plays a crucial role in shaping critical and ethical digital citizens (Ministry of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia, 2021; Nasrullah, 2022); environmental awareness among Indonesians remains at a moderate level, heavily influenced by active participation and continuous education (Apriliani et al., 2024; Handayani et al., 2022); and the fulfillment of citizens' rights and obligations regarding environmental and energy management faces challenges related to regulation, infrastructure, and low public awareness (Imawan & Al Yasir, 2024; Yunita, 2021). Digital campaigns have proven to be effective instruments for bridging digital literacy with environmental and energy education, particularly for the younger generation (Paksi et al., 2025; Rajagukguk, 2022). The study concludes that digital wisdom and environmental concern should be positioned as an integrated form of civic awareness that supports a successful and just energy transition in Indonesia.
Syaira Novia FitriDaniellin Christadella HutaniAnazwa NajmicittaAida LutfiPoetri Shabrina ZasqiaAgoes DariyoPamela Hendra Heng

Advances in information technology have made e-mails, instant messages, screenshots, and digital contracts increasingly common evidence in civil disputes. Indonesian civil procedural law, rooted in the HIR/RBg and the Civil Code, does not expressly regulate electronic evidence. This study analyzes the position and probative value of electronic evidence in civil cases and the obstacles to its application. It employs a normative juridical method with statute and conceptual approaches. The findings show that Article 5 of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) extends admissible evidence in accordance with prevailing procedural law, yet its probative value remains, in principle, free evidence that depends on formal and material requirements and on the judge's assessment. The main obstacles are proving authenticity and integrity, the absence of uniform testing standards, the cost of digital forensic experts, and differing understanding among judicial officers.
The 2024 Presidential and Vice-Presidential election gave rise to disputes over the results, filed with the Constitutional Court by candidates holding ballot numbers 01 and 03. These disputes extended beyond mere discrepancies in vote counts to encompass issues regarding candidacy, the neutrality of state apparatus, social assistance, election organizers, and the utilization of the Vote Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap). To better understand the scope of the Constitutional Court’s authority to investigate alleged violations of the electoral process, this study will examine the legal basis and jurisdiction of the Constitutional Court regarding PHPU for the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Election. This study employs a normative legal approach as its methodology, drawing on conceptual analysis, case studies, and an examination of relevant laws. This legal analysis draws on various sources, including the 1945 Constitution, the Election Law, the Law on the Constitutional Court, regulations issued by the Constitutional Court, books, academic journals, and court decisions. The study’s findings indicate that the Constitutional Court’s authority regarding post-election matters is grounded in the Constitution, specifically Article 24C(1) of the 1945 Constitution. In practice, the Court’s review is not limited to discrepancies in vote counts but may also consider violations related to election results. Nevertheless, this authority remains limited so as not to supplant the roles of the KPU, Bawaslu, or DKPP. Developments in the PHPU regarding the 2024 Presidential Election reflect a shift in the Court’s approach from quantitative analysis to an analysis that also takes qualitative aspects into account, provided there is a cause-and-effect relationship with the election results.
Fradita Eka RiyantiRadhitya Andhyka PratamaVanessa Wang

The implementation of final and binding State Administrative Court (PTUN) decisions still depends on the willingness of state administrative officials to comply. Article 116 of Law Number 51 of 2009 introduces mechanisms for fulfilling decisions, such as dwangsom, media publication, administrative sanctions, and reporting to the head of state. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of these coercive measures and the factors that hinder them. Case, conceptual, and statutory approaches are applied in this normative legal research. Data were obtained from primary and secondary legal materials and then reviewed qualitatively in the form of national scientific journals published from 2021 to 2026. The study findings indicate that although the coercive instruments in Article 116 are multi-layered, their implementation has not been effective. The main obstacles stem from the absence of implementing regulations governing the technicalities of paying coercive money and the types of administrative sanctions, the absence of an executive institution, the nature of announcements in the mass media and reporting to the President that are more like moral and political sanctions, and the low legal awareness of officials. The 2024 Supreme Court Implementation Guidelines only regulate oversight procedures and do not address substantive issues. This study recommends the issuance of implementing regulations, strengthening the enforcement institution, and revising the State Administrative Court Law.
Rizka NurillahRosavira Duwila

The dynamic and continuously evolving nature of the workplace requires students to possess career adaptability skills. One of the efforts made by universities to enhance students' career adaptability is through internship programs. However, the internship experiences gained by students are not always of the same quality. These differences in experiences indicate that variations in the quality of internship programs may affect students' career adaptability. This study was conducted to determine the extent of the contribution of internship quality to improving career adaptability among internship students. This study used a quantitative approach with the internship quality Scale (α = .842) and the career adaptability Scale (α = .946). The participants were 190 final-year students who were currently participating or had previously participated in internship programs, selected using a convenience sampling technique. The Spearman correlation test revealed a significant relationship between internship quality and career adaptability (rₛ = 0.497; p = 0.000 < 0.05). The results of this study indicate that the better the quality of the internship experience obtained, the higher the students' career adaptability.
Florentina Chabelita Bella WijayaKiky Dwi HapsariKaren Angelica ChiaPriciella Harieta Priska Ayuandari
