Abstract

This Regarding existing waste management, the City and Regency governments have the authority without exception to dispose of their own waste. Being an autonomous region for local government that is free as long as it does not conflict with legal norms which are the responsibility of the central government. Regional government competency in waste management matters originates from Law Number 18 of 2008 concerning Waste Management (Waste Management Law) and its implementing regulations. The Waste Manager shows that most of the control authority is in the hands of the central government, but almost entirely the implementation authority is in the hands of the regions. authority between central, provincial and district/city governments. Regarding plastic waste, the authorities that most need attention are establishing policies and strategies for waste management and implementing Waste Management Based on Rules, Standards, Procedures and Criteria (NSPK).
