ANALISIS TINDAK PELAKU BULLYING DI SEKOLAH TERHADAP PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER DALAM MASYARAKAT

Abstract

Interaction is something that cannot be avoided by humans as social creatures. Humans are taught to interact with each other from an early age, starting from school which aims to be a place to teach how to act in society which can develop intellectual abilities and socialization. However, there are deviations from the goals of the school itself, namely bullying which is a deviation from values and morals. Without realizing it, children who do bullying can influence the development of their own character growth in the future. Therefore, efforts need to be made to deal with bullying acts comprehensively. This research uses a descriptive normative juridical research method with a statutory approach. Laws and issues are studied thoroughly through literature research, including legal regulations applicable in Indonesian jurisdiction, expert perspectives or legal doctrine, books, journals and research articles, among others. In Indonesia, bullying is regulated in Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, and Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 46 of 2023 concerning Prevention and Handling of Violence in Educational Unit Environments. The impact that occurs on perpetrators of bullying can include mental health problems, wanting to always dominate, the potential to become addicted to alcohol and illegal drugs, and experiencing difficulties in the world of work as well as an individual in a society.
