KEWENANGAN DPR DALAM MENJALANKAN FUNGSI LEGISLASI BERDASARKAN PASAL 20 AYAT (1) UU DASAR NEGARA REPUBLIK INDONESIA 1945

Abstract

The authority of the House of Representatives (DPR) to carry out legislative functions is crucial in Indonesia's political system. As the main legislative body, the DPR is responsible for developing laws in collaboration with the President and ensuring that regulations reflect the interests and aspirations of the people. The law-making process goes through several stages, including discussions with the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) and joint approval between the DPR and the President. In addition, the DPR also has the role of approving or rejecting legislation in lieu of government laws (Perppu), as well as reviewing draft laws proposed by the President or DPR related to various aspects of state life. Through these important roles, the DPR will be able to carry out its legislative functions in a transparent, responsible and public interest-oriented manner.
