PANCASILA DALAM ERA DIGITAL: MENGATASI TANTANGAN TEKNOLOGI DAN MEDIA SOSIAL TERHADAP KEHARMONISAN SOSIAL

Abstract

In the midst of the turmoil of changing times, information technology and social media have become the main forces in social change. The development of information and communication technology (ICT) is a global phenomenon that has changed the world in many ways. In Indonesia, progress in Technology, Information and Communication (ICT) continues to increase from year to year. One of the social impacts of the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is the implementation of the 2024 Election activities. The impact of the spread of hoaxes and invalid content related to the 2024 Election on the social life of society, especially in the context of cultural harmony and diversity, is an important subject for research. This triggers damage to social harmony and threatens the cultural diversity of a society. The influence of Pancasila on social harmony can help Indonesian people overcome the challenges posed by the spread of hoaxes and invalid content related to elections. This research aims to investigate how the concept of Pancasila as the basis of the Indonesian state can be applied in facing the challenges of the digital era, especially in the context of the impact of technology and social media on human relations. The research method in this article involves collecting data from various literary sources such as journals, books and online articles. There is a conclusion in the form of Pancasila as the ideological foundation of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia which has an important role in shaping general values, values and ideals of society. This motto shows the diversity of Indonesian society who are tied to Pancasila. Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika are two things that cannot be separated.
