PERAN BADAN KESATUAN BANGSA DAN POLITIK DALAM MENYELENGGARAKAN PENDIDIKAN POLITIK PEMILIH PEMULA DI KOTA PEKANBARU

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the role of the national and political unitary bodies in organizing beginner voter education in the city of Pekanbaru. The approach used in this study is qualitative with data collection methods in the form of observation, in-depth direct interviews. Data analysis was carried out by manual data reduction, display and interpretation processes. The subjects in this study were high school students where this research took place. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The results of the study concluded that the role of the national and political unitary bodies in organizing political education for first-time voters in Pekanbaru City was not yet optimal in socializing political education organized by the national unitary bodies and novice voter politics. National and political unitary bodies can organize political education through schools and social media because the younger generation is now dominant in using social media such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Tiktok. National unity and political bodies must optimize these facilities, so that they have an impact on increasing the participation of first-time voters in the next general election.
