This article discusses how education in the perspective of idealism philosophy can build the character of the Indonesian nation. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of education in preparing a strong character of the Indonesian nation through the revitalization of human resources and to review the contribution of the idealism school of philosophy to character building through the educational process. This research method uses a literature study that combines various sources such as books, journals, articles, and other relevant sources to support the problems studied, with qualitative data. The results show that education has an important role in shaping the nation's character with an emphasis on moral values. The philosophy of idealism, particularly in metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology, provides a foundation for character building through spiritual knowledge and abstract values. The implication of this research is that character education, with an idealistic approach, plays a vital role in developing noble individuals. This indicates that the education system needs to integrate spiritual and moral values in the learning process to build strong character at the individual and collective levels of society
