This journal discusses the legal status of citizens who have dual citizenship in accordance with Law Number 12 of 2006. The law is a regulation that regulates citizenship issues in this country. The purpose of this journal is to analyze the legal implications related to the status of citizens who hold dual citizenship based on Law Number 12 of 2006. This journal explores various related aspects, including the rights and obligations of dual citizens, the impact on freedom of movement, and procedures and requirements for obtaining, maintaining, or relinquishing dual citizenship. However, this journal also identifies several challenges and problems that arise in the implementation of Law Number 12 of 2006. These challenges include administrative difficulties in obtaining or relinquishing dual citizenship, unclear regulations regarding passport extensions, and potential legal conflicts between countries that recognize dual citizenship. and countries that do not recognize. In conclusion, this journal presents a comprehensive overview of the legal status of citizens with dual citizenship based on Law Number 12 of 2006. Despite challenges in the implementation of this law, this journal underscores the importance of a good understanding of the rights and obligations of dual citizens. and the need for cooperation between countries in overcoming problems arising from dual citizenship.
