IBADAH HAJI DAN TRADISI SOSIAL MASYARAKAT SUNDA KAMPUNG NALAGATI KABUPATEN TANGERANG
Abstract
This article discusses the tradition of Walimatus Safar or hajj thanksgiving, especially in Nalagati Village, Tangerang Regency, which is carried out before and after someone performs the pilgrimage. The focus of this research is how the implementation of the walimatus safar/tasyakuran pilgrimage activities in Nalagati Village, how the walimatus safar tradition is formed, maintained (preserved) and interpreted in the social process of community life, and how the construction of the walimatus safar is carried out by the community. By using historical or historical methods, the stages of which consist of heuristics (source gathering), source criticism (interpretation), and writing, then using the sociological approach of religion and reinforced by social action theory initiated by Max Weber (1922), to examine a person's behavior. or groups in carrying out actions that have certain motives and goals. From this study it was found that the walimatus safar event in Nalagati village is something that must be carried out by people who will and after carrying out the Hajj. By carrying out the Walimatus Safar tradition, namely giving blessings, dhikr and praying, it will reassure the heart, bring blessings in life and it is believed that it will also provide benefits for people who are performing Hajj, such as being safe on the way, staying healthy, enthusiasm in carrying out worship and getting mabrur pilgrimage. In addition, there is an important meaning from the existence of this tradition, namely the practice of spiritual worship that cannot be lost in people's lives.
