Abstract

Material on thermodynamic laws and thermodynamic processes is one of the materials taught to students in class XI MIPA 5 SMAN 1 Jember for the 2022/2023 academic year, based on the initial test results the average student learning outcomes in the 81-100 score range are still far from the percentage of indicators performance that has been set at 60%. This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class XI MIPA 5 students of SMAN 1 Jember in the 2022/2023 academic year in the material on the laws of thermodynamics and its processes. Classroom action research was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, implementation and reflection stages, and using an inquiry learning model according to the conditions of students in class XI MIPA 5 SMAN 1 Jember Year 2022/2023. The aim of the study was to describe whether or not there were significant differences in learning outcomes using the guided inquiry learning model in class XI MIPA 5 SMAN 1 Jember. The data in this study are in the form of quantitative data and qualitative data, and are analyzed using a predetermined formula. The results of the actions taken showed an increase in the percentage of student learning outcomes in class XI MIPA 5 SMAN 1 Jember for the 2022/2023 school year in the 81-100 score range of 75%, from 13.89% before the action was taken to 88.89%.
