IMPLEMENTASI DOKTRIN KRISTOLOGI DALAM PENDIDIKAN AGAMA KRISTEN DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA

Abstract

Christian Religious Education (PAK) is religious education that is based on Christian values from the Bible and aims to educate students to experience a real encounter with Christ through understanding the correct doctrine so that students can know and love God, and are able to apply their faith in life. daily. However, the curriculum changes that have occurred several times have made PAK in its application reduce the discussion of the complete Christological Doctrine and replace it with a discussion of values and morals in general which is then also referred to as religious and moral education. Even though at the junior high school (SMP) level students are at a very crucial age for someone to solidify their faith. In addition, students who have deep faith values are known to avoid various cases of juvenile delinquency such as bullying, drug use, brawls between students and various other forms of juvenile delinquency. By using a qualitative descriptive research method, the researcher found that PAK is not only a compulsory curriculum in Indonesia but also an order from the Lord Jesus in His Great Commission, so that discipleship takes place in all directions. PAK is expected to be able to bring junior high school students to truly know Jesus and accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior. Knowing Jesus and understanding the Word will be the basis for applying values and better manners as an application of an understanding of the Christian faith that is believed in the context of their daily lives. In the end, it is hoped that writing a paper on the implementation of the Christological doctrine in PAK SMP is expected to contribute to increasing academic discourse about the importance of teaching the doctrine of the Christian Faith in PAK in schools.
