EFEKTIVITAS PERATURAN PELARANGAN CANTRANG DI KABUPATEN REMBANG

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the banning cantrang that contained in Article 7 Paragraph (3) of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Regulation Number 18 of 2021. This writing uses empirical methods and qualitative approach. The data is collecting through inverviewing with Satpolairud Polres Rembang, PSDKP Tasikagung, Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Kabupaten Rembang, Fisherman Associaton and Fisherman. The result of this study is that regulations of prohibition cantrang that contained in Article 7 Paragraph (3) of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Regulation Number 18 of 2021 have not been effective. Firshermen who still use cantrang fishing gear can see from the suitability between the letters of permission used with the catch obtained by fishermen. In addition, law enforcement in territorial waters is still limited by human resource, facilities and infrastructure which makes not effective.
