The research objective of this scientific article is to describe an idea about the factors that influence picky eaters in pre-school-aged children. The method used in writing this article is a narrative review with a comprehensive and descriptive approach through a literature search in research journal databases. A literature search in the form of scientific articles was carried out via the internet using the Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct database. The results of the review of scientific articles that were used and met the requirements based on the suitability of the topics, objectives, research methods, and research results obtained totaled 13 articles. Based on the results of the literature study it can be concluded that the factors that influence picky eaters are external factors (parental behavior) including the mother's occupation, parenting style, exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding, parental eating habits, parity and delays in introducing food. and internal factors (child behavior) including the habit of playing gadgets, children's sensory sensitivity and ADHD.
