Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Financial Services Authority's (OJK) supervision in preventing banking crimes in the digital era, viewed from regulatory, institutional, and technological aspects (Suptech), as well as through the perspective of the philosophy of science. Using a normative juridical approach, this study examines primary and secondary legal materials related to OJK's supervisory framework. The results indicate that OJK has built a responsive regulatory structure and strengthened institutional capacity, supported by the adoption of Suptech as a modern supervisory backbone. However, challenges remain, including regulatory gaps in addressing rapidly evolving digital realities, limitations in specialized human resources, and the need for more robust technological infrastructure. From a philosophical standpoint, the study highlights ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions, such as the nature of digital entities, shifts in knowledge acquisition methods, and ethical values in supervision. It is concluded that OJK's supervisory effectiveness is in a transitional phase toward more real-time, integrated, and proactive prevention. Strategic synergy with relevant stakeholders is essential to optimize its role.
