This study examines the enforceability of international arbitration awards in Indonesia, focusing on the execution process and the obstacles faced. Although Indonesia has ratified the 1958 New York Convention and has a domestic legal framework through Law No. 30 of 1999, the execution of international arbitration awards still faces significant challenges. The main obstacles include inconsistent interpretations of public order, complex execution procedures, and a lack of understanding and institutional support for international arbitration. In addition, negative perceptions of legal certainty in Indonesia have an impact on the foreign investment climate. This study uses a normative juridical method with a statutory approach and literature analysis. The results show that it is necessary to improve regulations, train law enforcement officers, strengthen international cooperation, and establish a special arbitration court to improve the effectiveness of execution. With these improvements, Indonesia can strengthen its reputation as a country that is friendly to international arbitration and attract more foreign investment.
