ANALISIS MORFOSEMANTIK DAN NILAI BUDAYA DALAM PERMAINAN TRADISIONAL SUNDA: SEBUAH KAJIAN ETNOLINGUISTIK

Abstract

This research analyzes the conceptual meaning of the names of traditional games in West Java using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through a literature study involving online and offline sources to understand the cultural context inherent in game naming. Traditional games in West Java reflect local wisdom and have important educational, motoric and social value. Classification is carried out based on aspects of movement, sound, tools and the involvement of animal elements. In-depth analysis shows that the names of the games, such as Galah Asin, Oray-orayan, Egrang, and Cingcangkeling, etc, not only function as identities but are also full of philosophical meanings that strengthen the values of social life. This research shows the importance of preserving traditional games as cultural heritage and meaningful interactive learning tools.
