Abstract

Quality of life is a concept that involves physical health, psychological state, degree of independence, social relationships, trust, and relationship with the environment. In the medical field, health-related quality of life (HRQOL) assessment covers the domains of physical, psychological and social health. It is important to know the impact of leukemia on the patient's quality of life to assess the severity of the disease, evaluate treatment, and make decisions in the context of disease management. Leukemia is a complex condition involving the patient's physical health and quality of life. Leukemia is a blood cancer that many children suffer from. White blood cells (leukocytes) increase in abnormal numbers in the blood and bone marrow so that they are unable to function as they should. Chemotherapy is one of the interventions that is widely used today in cancer patients, chemotherapy causes physical health problems which will have serious effects, these effects will become problems that will affect the child's overall quality of life, quality of life is a way to assess a conditions experienced by an individual in his life which are related to life values, from the impact on leukemia sufferers and treatment of leukemia sufferers, especially children, causes the child's quality of life to be poor compared to healthy children, so this can interfere with physical function. , children who have chronic diseases have a greater potential for disruption to their quality of life compared to healthy children in general.
