Rosella is a type of hibiscus plant known for its shining red flowers and cranberry-like flavor, commonly used in culinary applications, especially in teas, jams, and sauces. Rosella is also known for its potential health benefits, such as being rich in antioxidants and vitamin C. Another benefit of Rosella is preventing premature aging (anti-aging) because of its antioxidant content and the main bioactive compounds that act as antioxidants are anthocyanins, flavonoids, polyphenols and ascorbic acid. The antioxidant substances in rosella can ward off reactive oxygen species (ROS) and free radicals. The rosella plant, known as Hibiscus sabdariffa, originates from West Africa and is now grown in many tropical and subtropical regions around the world. This research aims to formulate and evaluate lipstick preparations. Extraction was carried out using the maceration method using 70% ethanol solvent with a yield of 10%. The results of this research show that the ethanol extract of rosella flowers can be formulated as a lipstick preparation and the evaluation results of the preparation meet the quality requirements. . The research results showed that the concentration of rosella flower extract was 0% colorless, the concentration 2% - 4% was faded red, the concentration 6% was red, the concentration 8% - 10% was dark red. The extract concentration of 0% - 4% does not change color so it can be categorized as stable when stored at room temperature for 30 days. Preparations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 do not cause irritation, itching or redness of the skin.
