PROMOSI KESEHATAN MENGHAMBAT LAJU PENINGKATAN KASUS BARU TUBERKULOSIS PARU DI DESA SUKAHARJA, KECAMATAN SINDANG JAYA, KABUPATEN TANGERANG, PROVINSI BANTEN

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis through air. Indonesia is the second highest number of TB cases in the world. According to the TB patient data book at Sindang Jaya Community Health Center in 2023, there was an increase in new cases in semester 2 with 79 new cases compared to semester 1 which accounted for 56 new cases. Due to large size of Sindang Jaya Health Centre work area, an evaluation is needed regarding the increase in tuberculosis cases. Objective: Increase public awareness and implement interventions related to pulmonary tuberculosis in Sindang Jaya Health Centre work area, thereby reducing the number of new TB cases. Method: Approach uses a community diagnosis, with a situational analysis to determine problems. Problem identification uses Blum's Paradigm. Prioritization of problems using non-scoring Delphi method and fishbone diagram to determine root cause. Interventions use log frame goal. Interventions include TB pulmonary education, cough etiquette, hand washing, filling Tuber form, and sputum sample. Results: Sukaharja Village experienced the second highest increase in new TB cases after Sindang Jaya Village in Sindang Jaya Health Centre work area. After the intervention, there was an increase in knowledge about TB pulmonary disease >80% among the Sukaharja Village community. Conclusion: After the community diagnosis, Sukaharja Village became the community with the second highest number of new TB cases and the cause was identified, followed by interventions such as TB pulmonary education and prevention. After the education, there was an increase in the community's knowledge about TB pulmonary disease and prevention methods.
