LAPORAN KUNJUNGAN KASUS GIZI BURUK DENGAN FOLIKULITIS DAN HIPOSPADIA PADA AN. E DENGAN PENDEKATAN KEDOKTERAN KELUARGA DI CIKUPA

Background. Severe wasting is a nutritional condition of toddler which is characterized by one or more signs: bilateral pitting edema; weight for height less than -3 standard deviation; and midupper arm circumference less than 11.5 cm. Child EAA, 2 years old, suffers from severe wasting, folliculitis since 1 week ago and hypospadia. Objective. To form habits in Mr. E’s family to provide nutrition as needed in orter to grow and develop well. Case. Child E, a 2-years-old boy, is a patient at the Cikupa Health Center suffering from severe wasting which was noticed by the parents since he was born with low birth weight. The mother had a history of suffering severe preeclampsia when she was pregnant with the patient so he had to be born prematurely. The patient consumes food less than his nutritional needs. He also diagnosed with folliculitis and hypospadia which his parents had been aware of since he was 2 years old. Methods. Problem analysis with family medicine approach using the Mandala of Health to obtain holistic diagnosis and carry out comprehensive management. Result. Intervention through family doctor visits showed an increase in body weight (8.2 kg), height (78.8 cm), and midupper arm circumference (11.5 cm). Complaints of itching decreased and urethroplasty was performed. The parents have also been given a menu as a nutritional guide and understand the importance of nutrition in children's growth and development. Conclusion. Family doctor visits provide increase in patient’s weight, height and midupper arm circumference. It is hoped that the family can maintain the habit of providing food according to the patient's nutritional needs.
