Anxiety is a response that occurs when someone feels threatened by something that seems scary, such as the Covid-19 outbreak. This virus first appeared in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019. The city of Semarang is the city with the highest number of cases of Covid-19 in Central Java. The Covid-19 outbreak is a new thing so that currently what the community is facing is not only the Covid-19 outbreak but also the information that has emerged due to the outbreak. Information that is not controlled and is not known to be true triggers feelings of discomfort that cause anxiety. This study used an analytical observational method with a cross sectional approach which was carried out at the Outpatient Polyclinic of RSUD Dr. Adhyatma, MPH. Sampling using consecutive sampling method with a sample of 48 people. Primary data through the Covid-19 Infodemic Questionnaire and the ZSAS Questionnaire (has passed the validity and reliability test). Data analysis was performed by Spearman's Rank test. In this study, the p-value (0.000) < 0.05, which indicates that there is a significant relationship between the two variables. Judging from the Correlation Coefficient value which shows (0.714) it means that the Covid-19 infodemic has a strong relationship with the level of anxiety in the community. The majority of respondents with mild anxiety levels, namely respondents with incorrect information about covid-19 with a good category as many as 29 respondents (80.6%) while respondents with incorrect information about covid19 with sufficient and less categories having a moderate level of anxiety as many as 9 respondents. This is because respondents with sufficient and good information have a higher level of alertness and caution which causes an increase in anxiety. There is a relationship between the COVID-19 infodemic and the level of anxiety in the community.
