ANALISIS FAKTOR RISIKO DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 PADA PENDUDUK DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS WAEPANA DAN RIUNG DI KABUPATEN NGADA TAHUN 2023

Background:.A disease characterized by hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action or both. Purpose: to analyze the risk Factors for Type 2 Diabetes Melitus in the working area of the Waepana Health Center and Riung Health Center, Ngada Regency in 2023. Method: cross-sectional analytic approach, the sampling technique in this study was carried out by consecutive sampling, data analysis used univariate, bivariate, and multivariate with chi-square statistical test. Results Survivors of diabetes mellitus were 86 respondents, dominated by female sex by 48 respondents and the highest group was in the age category 46-55 years, namely by 38 respondents. There is a relationship between family history and the incidence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with a p value of 0.030 and an or value of 3.210, there is a relationship between a history of hypertension and the incidence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with a p value of 0.040 and an or value of 2.984, there is a relationship between diet and the incidence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. 2 p value 0.022 and or value 3.231. significantly related to the incidence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, history of giving birth >4000 grams, consumption of coffee/tea with sugar, history of smoking, consumption of alcohol. Suggestion: Community Health Centers can also disseminate information and education through print and electric media in the form of bulletins, as well as conduct regular health screenings for high-risk groups of people. Future researchers are advised to add risk Factors for exposure to cigarette smoke, dyslipidemia variables and use a prospective cohort design to see the risk Factors that are viewed continuously and longitudinally.
