Abstract

Tourism venues, both closed and open, have a high risk of occupational diseases (PAK) due to the mobility of residents which triggers crowds and tourism activities that are vulnerable to transmission of COVID-19 and slowing economic rates with quiet hotels, restaurants and entertainment. Management of tourism sites in protecting the safety and health of human resources (tourists/employees) and the tourism environment must implement a tourism safety and health management system. The purpose of this study was to find out the readiness of Semarang city tourism managers in implementing regulations, human resources, standard procedures, facilities and exploring the management's commitment and responses of tourist visitors regarding the implementation of safety and health during the Covid-19 pandemic using a qualitative approach (observation and in-depth interviews). ) to managers, guides and security guards (security) for tourism sites, as well as triangulation informants, namely tourist visitors. Shows that there are regulations regarding the control of COVID-19 by the City Government of Semarang, preparedness of human resources by adding security in the form of masks and face shields, procedures for entering tourist attractions for washing hands and checking body temperature, providing separate waiting areas for infrastructure facilities, hand washing areas and COVID-19 posts. it can be concluded that the commitment of the management of Semarang city tourist attractions is very high in implementing Safety and Health. This can be seen from the existence of regulations, OSH human resources, standard procedures and infrastructure that are implemented as well as the awareness of tourist visitors that it is important to implement safety and health at tourist attractions in the city of Semarang during the COVID-19 pandemic.
