Abstract

Risk factors that can affect the incidence of ARI in toddlers include occupancy density, smoking habits of family members in the house, the use of mosquito coils, use of wood fuel for cooking, family income, nutritional status, immunization status and history of exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect the incidence of ARI in toddlers in the working area of Langensari 1 community health center. Data analysis using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis, and multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression tests. Based on the results of the study, it is known that risk factors that are proven to affect the incidence of ARI in toddlers are occupancy density and smoking habits of family members in the house. Risk factors that have been shown to have no effect on the incidence of ARI in toddlers include : use of mosquito coils, use of wood fuel for cooking, family income, nutritional status, immunization status, history of exclusive breastfeeding. The most influential risk factor for the incidence of ARI in toddlers is the smoking habits of family members in the house because it has an OR value of 13,692, which means that toddlers who have family members with smoking habits in the house have a 13,692 chance of ARI compared to toddlers whose family members do not have a habit of smoking in the house. Of the 44 toddlers who experienced ARI, 40 (90,9%) came from families who had smoking habits in the house.
