LAPORAN KEGIATAN DIAGNOSIS KOMUNITAS DALAM UPAYA MENURUNKAN ANGKA KASUS ANEMIA PADA IBU HAMIL DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS TELUKNAGA, KECAMATAN TELUKNAGA, KABUPATEN TANGERANG, PROVINSI BANTEN PERIODE: 8 FEBRUARI 2023 – 8 MARET 2023

Abstract

Background: Anemia is described as a reduced proportion of red blood cells. Anemia in pregnancy can increase maternal mortality and adversely affect the fetus, such as low birth weight (LBW), premature birth, and intrauterine death. Riset Kesehatan Dasar 2018 data shows the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia is 48.9%. Data from Teluknaga Health Care Centre showed an increase of 44 cases of anemia in pregnancy from 14 cases in December 2022 to 58 cases in January 2023. Objective: To find the location with the highest cases of pregnancy anemia, causes, interventions that can be done and the results of interventions in the working area of Teluknaga Health Care Centre. Methods: The community diagnosis approach was used in determining the problem and intervention. Blum's paradigm was used to identify problems. Non-scoring technique Delphi method was used to prioritise the problems. Determination of the root cause of the problem using fishbone diagram. Intervention was conducted by counselling on anemia and Hb screening for pregnant women in Teluknaga Village. Results: There were 12 pregnant women who attended, all participants experienced an increased knowledge of anemia and underwent haemoglobin (Hb) screening found 2 (16.66%) participants detected with Hb <11 mg/dL. Conclusion: The location that has the highest cases of anemia in pregnant women in the working area of Teluknaga Health Care Centre is Teluknaga Village. The problems that cause high anemia cases in pregnant women based on Blum's Paradigm are lifestyle aspects. The intervention was in the form of counselling on anemia and Hb screening for pregnant women. After the intervention, there was an increase in knowledge, as well as the detection of anemia in the participants and it is expected to reduce cases of anemia in pregnant women in Teluknaga Village
