Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is one of the most important public health problems in Indonesia and often causes an extraordinary event with high mortality. In Indonesia, the most important mosquito that transmits dengue is Aedes aegypti. The high number of disease outbreaks shows that the preventive programs applied in the community have not been implemented properly. The method used in this study is the literature review method by interpreting the various libraries in this article, searching the database using http://garuda.ristekdikti.go.id and google schollar. The articles that were obtained were 32 articles and only 16 articles were used that matched the analysis of objectives, suitability of topics and analysis of results. Based on the results of the study, attention to behavioral factors is as important as attention to environmental factors, especially in terms of disease prevention efforts. People's lack of concern for environmental conditions such as not closing water reservoirs tightly, not draining water reservoirs regularly and not burying used goods that can accommodate rainwater are factors that affect the increase in dengue cases. The conclusion in this study is that human factors, the environment, and the presence of larvae are risk factors for the occurrence of DHF.
