Keywords:
Al-Qur`an, Da’wah, MuhammadiyahAbstract
Da’wah includes all forms of communication that contain religious messages through oral, written, and deeds. The elements of da’wah include da’i, mad’u, messages sourced from the Qur’an and Hadith, and the purpose of da’wah to be achieved, namely achieving happiness in the world and the hereafter. Mad’u or the target of da’wah can include individuals, families, and communities, with different methods, approaches, characteristics and management and of course carried out in civilized ways. Da’wah must be carried out with measurable and systematic management or management so that da’wah messages are conveyed appropriately. Because da’wah is the duty of Muslims across time and space, Muslims must work together to carry out this noble task. It is hoped that through da’wah activities, Muslims will become the best community as mentioned in the Qur’an as khaira ummah. The research method used in this thesis takes the form of qualitative research by analyzing each object under study (descriptive analysis). The approach used is tafsir maudhû’i (thematic) around the verses of the Qur’an which are used as the basis of Muhammadiyah’s argument in carrying out da’wah, so as to describe the integration of da’wah according to the Qur’an with the concept of da’wah Muhammadiyah. The findings in this thesis have similarities with several classical and contemporary mufassirs such as al-Thabari (d. 923), Ibn Katsir (d. 1373), Muhammad Abduh (d. 1905), Rasyid Ridha (d. 1935), Hmaka (d. 1981), and Quraish Shihab regarding da’wah in the Qur’an. In addition, it also has similarities with Din Syamsuddin, Haedar Nashir, Syamsul Hidayat, and Anhar Anshari in discussing the concept of da’wah of Muhammadiyah. This thesis has differences with Kuntowijoyo (d. 2005), Abdurrahaman Wahid (d. 2009), Aksin Wijaya regarding traditional Islam. It also has differences with salafi-wahabi such as Yazid Abdul Qadir Jawaz (d. 2024), Firanda Andirja in the concept of al-rujû’ ilâ Al-Qur`ân wa al-Sunnah.
